FIRE EMERGENCY PLAN

EMERGENCY EXITS ARE MARKED ON THE HOME DIAGRAM

Familiarize yourself with the location of all exits in the lodge and ensure there is a clear path to each of them in case of an emergency.
Escape routes are marked with yellow arrows.
The property has smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, a fire extinguisher, and a first aid kit.
- Smoke and carbon monoxide detectors are installed in the ceilings by the bedrooms in the house
- The fire extinguisher is under the kitchen sink
- The first aid kit is located in a top drawer of the kitchen island
If the alarm goes off, evacuate the house immediately and call 911. Do not re-enter the house without permission from a fire official.
Once out of the house, stay out until a fire official permits re-entry. Do not open warm doors or break windows.
In the event of a fire, follow the yellow arrows to the nearest exit, leave the home immediately, and call 911.
Have a designated meeting spot outside the home, and make sure everyone knows how to dial 911.
Teach STOP, DROP, AND ROLL to all family members.
Exercise fire safety:
- Ensure the fire pit is extinguished before bedtime
- Practice caution with the BBQ grill
- Keep the kitchen safe
- Avoid smoking inside the home at all times

SEVERE WEATHER PREPAREDNESS TIPS

Severe Storms:

Go to designated safe spots shown in the diagram on this page, keep the door closed, and stay away from windows during high winds
If you have a battery-powered radio, use that for updates on severe weather warnings
Monitor weather alerts and be prepared to take action if necessary

Thunderstorms:

Stay at designated safe spots shown in the diagram, keep the door closed, and stay away from windows
Unplug electronic devices to avoid damage from lightning strikes
Avoid using water sources such as showers or sinks
Have a flashlight and extra batteries on hand
If you are on a boat, head to shore immediately

Tornadoes:

Seek shelter in the designated safe spots, keep the door closed, and stay away from windows
If you are not able to get to the designated safe spaces in the house, lie flat in a low-lying area away from trees and vehicles
Cover your head with your arms or a pillow for protection

Have a first aid kit and emergency supplies readily available

Flooding:

Move to higher ground immediately if flooding is imminent
Do not attempt to drive through flooded roads
Secure important documents and valuables in waterproof containers
Turn off electricity and gas if instructed to do so
Have a plan for evacuation and a designated meeting place
